Moving a Vanda into a  larger basket is easy and straightforward.
If the old basket has not begun to decay, the Vanda can be moved into a larger home, basket and all. This is preferable to damaging the plant trying to remove it from the old container. Soaking the plant in a bucket of water for an hour will make the roots more pliable and easier to work into the new basket. Do Not cut any live roots. Attach the nametag and wire hanger to the new basket

Because it is made of plastic, the net pot will not deteriorate and can be left on the plant. If there are many aerial roots, soak the plant to make them more pliable. It is simply a matter of placing the net pot into a basket large enough to accommodate the plant. You can use some charcoal or lava rock to wedge the net pot into a stationery position. Be careful not to damage any roots. Attach the hanger and nametag and you're done !
